A Mother's Day Love Letter to Busy Moms

A Mother's Day Love Letter to Busy Moms

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍 (but honestly… it’s every day)

We love being celebrated….we really do. But we all know moms deserve that kind of love and recognition every day.

Motherhood is in the air we breathe, the routines, the seasonal clothes switch, the carpools, the tears, the snuggles, the chaos of figuring it out as you go.

So in the spirit of Mother’s Day (and real life) we wanted to share a few small things that have been making our days feel a little more doable lately.

1. The to-go cup smoothie situation (aka: when breakfast can’t be a sit-down event)

Some mornings are smooth. Some are chaotic, and almost all go by way too quickly.

We’ve fully accepted that smoothies don’t need to be pretty, or plated, or even finished at the table. If anything, they’re better when they’re portable. Plus, to-go cups make everything so much more fun and special! Just blend (add some sips 😉) , pour and go!

One kid is negotiating socks, another is asking for a snack, and you’re already halfway out the door with breakfast in hand. It’s not glamorous, but it works and honestly, that counts as a win to us.

2. The Hair Situation (that lives in the kitchen now)

This one changed everything. We stopped pretending mornings are organized and moved the essentials downstairs: hair ties, brushes, detangler spray, even a little water spray bottle and put it all in an organizer we can pull out at any time! Inevitably, today is the day they need a braid, or the bangs feel “too funny”, or maybe I want a last-minute cute hair style!

Nonetheless, this has been an absolute game changer for my family and I. Instead of dropping everything and moving upstairs, we can be in the thick of it together as a family! Embracing the chaos, doing hair and feeling confident in the midst of it all.

P.S. you can (and should) do this with toothbrushes in the downstairs bathroom too!

3. The protein powder hack everyone should know

Katy started using a baby formula separator for her protein powder… and it’s one of those “why didn’t we think about this sooner???” things. When Katy told me, I thought it was GENIUS. You can separate into a single compact container made for on-the-go.

This makes life on to go (vacas, beach, pool) so much easier, especially when you’re trying to get nutrients in without adding to the chaos or forgetting a supplement. Just fill the formula separator with Protein Sips and you’re out the door!

It just… streamlines the whole thing. No drama. No guessing. Just done.

P.S. We are working on single serve Protein Sips. It’s not here yet but a little something to get excited about!

4. Sunscreen in the car (because we are not going back inside)

If there’s one universal truth about motherhood, it’s that you dread the day when your kids are happily playing outside and come in looking like a lobster from the hot summer sun… Instead of waiting for that moment of panic,, now we keep a cute little sunscreen pouch in the car.

Not the giant sunscreen bag or the full beach bag. Just a little pouch that never leaves the car, so that we have it exactly when we need it.

It’s a small thing, but it saves that moment where everyone is already buckled and you’re debating whether it’s worth going back inside (it never is).

Motherhood doesn’t really need more perfection, some days we just need to get out the door!

That’s kind of what we’ve been building with Sips Club… simple, functional nutrition you can actually get into your kids (and your) daily habits without turning it into a whole thing. Because most days already are a whole thing.

So if no one has told you today: you’re doing more than enough. From Mom to Mom, you are doing your BEST, and if your version of “together” looks like smoothie cups, kitchen hair brushes, and sunscreen in the car… honestly, same. And I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Happy Mother’s Day, from two moms who are right there in it with you.
